Simply amazing

Wow. What an adventure. Loved the story, the characters, the atmosphere... The author built an amazing world, and it makes me wish it was turned into an actual game (maybe without some of the more horrible stuff). The cinematic autio really added a lot to the experience. Chapter 75 in particular was a masterpiece. I purchased this because I really enjoyed the cinematic audio in Dungeon Crawler Carl, but I didn't expect it to be THAT good with this book. Jeff and the team did an amazing job as always.

Mongo is appalled... in the best way

Viscerally real and darkly poingant. Coming over from DCC, I was expecting a similar dark comedy romp. I was not expecting *that.* While it can be easy to get lost in the gruesome (and this audio production does an incredible job making things especially gruesome), the story deals with raw, deep emotional subjects genuinely without shying away from their real consequences. The production team does an incredible job, and the voice talent brings everyone to life. I appreciated the trigger warning placed before the most intense scene of the book, and thought that, with a production as intense as this, a little more warning could've been given at the beginning of the book. Altogether, an incredible audio experience!

NOT Like DCC. But Still Amazing In Its Own Right

Fantasic book by Matt Dinniman, as always. And fantastic work from Soundbooth Theater, as always. Very dark, very morbid, and very difficult to stomach at times but books like this are right up my alley so I loved it. Well done all around from everyone involved.

Intense, Dark, layered story.

coming from dungeon crawler carl, i looked at plenty of reviews to see what i was getting into. Honestly, what a great story. the universe, storyline, characters and narration are absolutely spot on. dont come into this book thinking its like DCC, its not. its dark, its gory, its deep, its unique and i will definatly recommend to my friends

An intense ride..

Ive listened through twice.. Just finished.. I feel shellshocked. Such an incredible world with an insane plot and characters you cant help but become invested in.. Beware.. this is not an "everyone lives happily ever after" story..

Kaiju Battlefield Surgeon

Telented voice delivery, and a well written story. Kept me riveted all the way through. My only downvote (mirrored in another comment) a couple of the enhanced voiceovers were impossible for me to decipher. i appreciate the commitment to over-the top delivery in limited situations, but it was more than I could understsnd
