A Spoonful of Poison
Synopsis
Agatha Raisin’s detective agency has become so successful that she finally decides it is time for a little rest and relaxation. But once she cuts back her working hours, she quickly discovers that too much free time does not suit her.
When the vicar of a nearby village asks for help promoting the local church fete, Agatha reluctantly agrees—especially after learning that the event’s organizer, George Selby, is a charming and attractive widower.
What begins as a simple community fundraiser soon turns deadly when several entries in the jam-tasting competition are found to be poisoned. The festive gathering is transformed into a murder investigation, and Agatha finds herself right in the middle of it.
Determined to uncover the culprit, she delves into the secrets and rivalries hidden beneath the village’s friendly exterior. At the same time, her growing feelings for George complicate matters, particularly when it becomes clear that he may be hiding secrets of his own.
As the clues pile up, Agatha must separate truth from deception before the killer strikes again.
