i enjoyed every minute of it.

There are plenty of warnings about this book, but it's impossible to review this chapter without reiterating them here. Short of being child pornography, this is as offensive and tasteless as fiction can possibly be. Yet somehow the depth of Dinniman's storytelling, the richness of his characters and the intricate RPG mechanics... the finesse, the passion and musicianship of Jeff Hays and Soundbooth Theater all shine here. They shine as brightly as they do in all his other books. I think the genre is shallow: Pain for the anticipation of more pain, torture for the thrill of torture, fear for the excitement of fear itself, and I find it quite offensive. I hate it. Yet somehow I love this book. It's qutie the paradox. Is there a shallowness to my enjoyment? I don't know. Proabably. In my heart, I think perhaps it's shallow, yet deep and beautiful anyway. He takes two genres: LitRPG and Horror, delves hardcore into both of them as intensely as he can, and then uses that as the backdrop to tell a masterful fable of haunting beautiful majesty. Am I an evil person? What is good and what is evil? What is a game, and what is real? Where do you draw the line? Are we in a simulation? It's food for thought, sick, rotten food for thought. If you think you'd like to twist the line between good taste and bad into the shape of an RPG character chart, then is the book for you.

Seriously, parts of this story simultaneously make me feel like I can't breath and want to throw up. The voice acting and sound design are somehow even worse than a horror movie, because everything is in your imagination, somehow making it even more visceral than watching special effects. A perfect Halloween listen!! Great work by the Soundbooth crew! Also, someone please go check on Matt and make sure he's doing okay? X'D T_T

Wow….um, okay? Soooo….That was grim. I want to give a shout-out to Carl and Princess Donut. They knew what was coming and broke the fourth wall to warned us! Thank god that they did, becuase it was getting pretty tense. I’m not ashamed to admit I skipped the torture scene in this. Just…yeah. Don’t get me wrong! I love horror! But…even I have my limits when it comes to fictional torture. Matt, my man, you really know how to turn a story into a horror show! Bless be to the crew of SoundBooth Theater for making this so realistic to my ears, that I practically cringed to the built-up to it. Going to keep going, but whew! That was…a lot. As always, Jeff Hays killed it with the narration!

If youve listened tovthe first two why havent you purchaesed this one? The story only gets better.

Probably the hardest thing I've ever listened to!

Some spots, audio is missing and app locks up. Have to drag fwd until you find where its working again. All of Chapter 26 was gone, skiped straight to 27. Had to shut it down and restart, that fixed the missing chapter. Overall the app is buggy but better than the lame version on audible.

Wow that was a little hard to listen too hahaha parts of this book can really make you uneasy! Especially this chapter! Amazing work to everyone who worked on this!! You guys are the best!!!
