I was marveling at how actually enjoyable it was for me to read about a character who basically knew everything and could do no wrong when the story took a sharp turn into his female friends fighting over getting to have sex with him. wtf. That's already so icky, and a quick Google search told me that it only gets bigger from here and that it's a significant part of the story. There are so many interesting ways this re-start could've gone, and the whole sleezy harem thing just tanked a lot of them.

I listened to the prologue yesterday and when all of the female characters were either hiding their love or single and open to love i was a little worried. In book one, the MC is all business, drive (he's an OP Mary Sue self insert but what else do you expect in this genre) and steel trap memory. It was nothing special but enjoyable enough i bought the second book. Here the author describes several 16 year old girls' figures in a ****** way. I kept listening, despite the cringe, and then I got to the part where the one of the two main (for now) love interests is forced to have sex, or do ****** things, for her god because of the game. So the MC has to be convinced into a ****** relationship with both women to save the one from having sex with an NPC. The premis is just so dumb. I enjoy all the guild building and Mary Sue nonsense but the Harem is so out of place. The MC was even lecturing one of the females about being a lady before deciding to save her for the guild. He even says he is worried about her reputation making her an unfit vice guild leader. I will finish the book because I paid for it but I doubt I'll buy the next one. Soundbooth does the same quality you would expect so bravo to them.

No, just no. This series has become harem trash.

Boom 1 was good then I started this and it was good before all of the sudden we are getting a harem because the game forces the girls to have sex or lose their characters and when the MC says no they keep praising utill he accepts and makes a harem. He is in his 40s they are 18 that is wrong on so many levels.

A forty year old man hooks up with two eighteen year olds with little to no build-up. It was very uncomfortable to listen to, even if there was no explicit sex scene. The ending chapter literally had a line about how the main character walked away from combat holding their hands and how natural it felt. It ruined anything good about the story. Production quality is great, though.

Not a bad story, but it has too much tell and not nearly enough show. These stories feel far too short and rushed because of this issue. The other issue is word choice, honestly the author really needs to pick up a thesaurus. If you're listening to this story for the first time get ready to hear the word ecstatic at least three time a chapter. Over all, an interesting concept that fails utterly in execution.

the story had great action hope we get more books like that in the series. Loved the Audio to this book can't wait for the rest to come out

I was highly entranced by the book and the voice actors. I truly was pulled in and enjoyed the antics. Though I did not appreciate the harem or love triangle, I did find the approach appropriate and the telling humorous. I’m really enjoying the series.
